Chinese oil painting artist Chan, Ching-Kong was born in 1942 at Xiamen, China. He received his artistic education along with his classmate Chan Yan-Ning, Wu Qi-Zhong, Ran Mao-Qin at Attached Fine Art Secondary School of The Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts from 1959 to 1963. For half a century since his graduation, he maintained his passion for painting. He had been an art director, senior editor and editor-in-chief in his 40 years career in the publishing field. For the last 20 years, he had focused on oil painting infused with techniques of french impressionist, Les Nabis. His paintings are specialized in expressing the contemporary China with vivid characters, vibrant colors and refreshing compositions. They are collected by private collectors and corporations of mainland China and from oversea alike.
